Well, that was inevitable. There will be more food fights and it will be interesting to see who wins. Meantime, purrs are better than bit coins. And a headbutt, well, that will get you salmon and warm cream.

Just a thought. What if to commemorate the January 6th 2021 attack on the Capitol, to be fair, what if a similar attack took place on Mar-A-Lago. Just a thought.

Love the cat cartoon. Thanks for posting the link on Van Jones. It will be interesting to see if Trump takes a side. I do not think he will, why would he have to: he can just sit back, let things happen, and enjoy the show.

He read this book, and Art of the Deal is highly recommended in the sequel, "Negotiate This."

Remember, playing dumb is a negotiating ploy.

Cat cartoon is brilliant!

H1-B visas...an additional very important aspect that got included late in the discussion occurring is that evidently these folks, in addition to working for less $$, are essentially indentured servants. They cannot quit and work elsewhere, and if they try, the company can send them home!

I'm getting some popped corn! (I mean, I may as well have a little fun while they try to burn down Rome. Hope they don't get as far as they might...thanks to Biden for at least throwing some tire nails out to slow them down.)

This is a good reminder that, when the opposition nutsos are in charge, it’s fun to point and laugh. If only they weren’t destroying the world as we know it, or would like it to be.

David Brooks has stated an obvious outcome for a 'populist' who uses the populace in any damn way he wants to and it is bouncing back at him like it ought to in its hypocritical essence, which kind of describes the Republican party's newly misshapen identity. One that is pretending about a magic past that can be recalled at will of the wish for previous inequalities described as desirable because of some kind of imaginary comfort - that is in itself a replacement for doing the hard jobs of democracy-keeping and improving. A party supporting the cause of billionaireing at the expense of just about everybody else. It is so out of balance that it can't work and never will. Whatever happened to reality-observing? What are they eating and drinking anyway? And whatever else....

I joined the zoom and all the commenters but need to clean up my zoom etiquette regarding noise and background, etc. With all respect to everyone who spoke, I think it’s time to look down 20,000 feet or so and see how the world is changing. I like Michael’s comment, because he’s doing that, I think. Every television and streaming show involves killers, good ones, anti-hero ones, evil ones, supernatural ones, robots — It’s hard for me to raise platitudes about anyone killing anyone, although I was raised Presbyterian. I know how I’m supposed to act, but there’s people out there who are all cynics in one way or another. Trump has always been cynical about his followers, so I think the oligarchs might win with Trump, but I also doubt he’s much in control anymore. I’m too old that my opinion matters, but I do think the Republicans will get back some of what they’ve dished out.

Don't worry, trust God. These rich immigrants will send seed money home to friends and relatives to start job-creating businesses. Sure their pals will get fat, but the employees will add to their rich store of salutary humility.

Speaking of cats, mine told me years ago, "Inverted squirrels speak purple." Now I realize she meant purrple. I miss her, but my wife and daughter more than make up for it.
