Stepping away from politics, perhaps for mental health reasons. It’s so tough right now. I’m a bit tired and need to rest because I have a fun event to attend later today. I was hired by a very kind supporter of mine to live-draw his daughter’s wedding, as a gift to her. This will be my third such gig; I find it so heartwarming.
So I thought I would share a selection of my marriage drawings from over the years. Some were published in The New Yorker.
This last one was done right after same sex marriage was legalized in New York.
If you ever think you would like me to digitally live-draw your wedding or a relative’s wedding or any event, just contact me and I will send you samples of what that would look like. liza@lizadonnelly.com
Have a restful Friday, hopefully enjoying family and friends.
Nice to see you, the Cat in the 'compare notes' drawing. It's been the cats who've made our marriage work for forty-five seasons.
I love all of these! Married for 47 years, and there have certainly been some tricky bits.
