It would be nice if this was the only kind of war we had.
I seem to have an obsession with leaf blowers. I found this drawing above from a few years ago. You probably should know I have never owned a leaf blower, known anyone who owns a leaf blower, nor even gotten close to one.
The other day, I was driving down a country road on a stretch between houses—about 1/8th a mile— that had woods on either side of the road. I saw a man standing on the side of the road with his leaf blower, blowing leaves from the edge of the country road into the woods. I kid you not.
I guess he needed to be busy.
Happy Saturday, everyone. Hope you are relaxing and NOT being busy!
OMG I love this so much! In the summertime my sister and I like to go swimming at the house we grew up in in the suburbs of NY. And it never ceases to amaze (and disgust) me that it's noisier going for a swim in the backyard in CT than it is walking a block to my local bodega on Sixth Avenue. Oy.
Yea funny how we as humans need order in a chaotic natural world . The 50’s American culture prob had a lot to do with it. But aside, they are useful for mountain bike trail maintenance keeping dirt exposed easier to drain and get traction on. Wet leaves under tires can lead to hospitalization.. and yea busy busy is kinda overrated !! #rubbersidedown 🚵🏼♂️ 🤪 TY for this Liza ! 🙏
