I have two suggestions, right off the top of my pea-brain.

A. TFGs trial(s), and he’ll have a lot of them ahead.

B. George Santos, and his political troubles. This should be a good trial! I don’t expect him to make a deal. He’s facing 20 years in Leavenworth Penitentiary!

Thanks. Will the Santos trial be on Long Island? What are TFG trials?

I love that you asked, "What are the TFG trials?" TFG means "the former guy".

A reasonable way to refer to him.

Yes, I’m speaking to a lady, and posting on here, so I have to watch my tongue, closely. I was still wearing a badge, speaking to some of my partners, and coworkers, my language about this character (used loosely) would be extremely different!

Gary Trudeau has a Doonsbury book out called "Former Guy"; it's great!

I have no idea where they’ll be held.

I’m an elder artist and this is such a good reminder about the value of impromptu sketching. Your

work and incisive comment are a good addition to my universe

I'm always amazed how you capture so much with so few marks on the paper

1. The pencil is a finer point and more brain-connected than the stylus, I’m finding. Trying work that out in my own drawings. Do you use Procreate on the iPad? What “nib” do you use for everyday drawing?

2. Cafe Luxembourg! My fave location for biz lunches when I was a magazine wretch in NYC. I do miss it.
