I don’t know why the hats above were rejected! Nor by whom! I would wear one, if not all. I used to have a hat collection when I was a young girl, inspired by my Great Uncle John from Barnegat, New Jersey, a wonderful, playful man who also collected hats. He also taught me how to play the harmonica.
Below is an painting—actually a New Yorker cover reject—from a few years ago. The snowperson may seem lonely, but I think she’s pensive, and waiting for the party to join her momentarily.
I hope you have a lovely evening, and a wonderful start to your freshly minted year. I will see you tomorrow, when I will go live for a change. Thanks for being here!
All I can say is… I love your uncle wherever he may be! Anybody who plays the harmonica is a good guy in my book! Everything else is icing on the cake! Happy new year to everyone out there!
Keep trying! Where’s a dangling pull on cap w long knitted “tail” that wraps around neck & ends w tassle bit showing ? I love the happiness of your efforts ! Makes me want to quit w all this wordiness & try pencil drawings 😉. PS. HAPPY DAY TO YOU & all your friends n families
