Silly drawings are among the best! And you have left it to us to imagine the colors they are wearing. For me, everyone in the room is wearing shades of brown & grey; the gardener is wearing overalls covered with multi-colored flowers! Cheers and onward to a grey/brown week!

How great! I should have colored it in. However, I love making the viewer do some work:):)

Aye, let me tell ye of a "garden party" scene,

Expected blooms and grasses lush and green.

But lo, what met my eyes was such a fright,

Naught but concrete stretching out of sight!

There I stood, wondering if it's all a jest,

Where’s the garden? This barren sight's not the best!

Dreams of daisies vanished into thin air,

Replaced by a gray expanse so bare.

Yet there I was, so I thought I might as well blend,

With the crowd, making the most of the end.

We chuckled over our garden-less fate,

Sharing laughs and stories, making the best of the date.

We turned that concrete into a festive spot,

Filled with laughter and cheer, enjoying what we got.

Though not the garden we'd hoped to find,

We found joy of another kind!

Liza, fantastic! This is ‘sot on’ for the weekend. “Party as you may today, next week it’s going to be fun!”

I’m looking for a lot of interesting things this week in New York. I expect that Frumpy will get himself a little of rest, or he’ll land in a jail cell because he’ll not be able to control himself.

I can’t wait for your drawing of him getting handcuffed that one will end up in the Smithsonian National Museum!!!

Love the picture and the idea - if you had left the caption without the concrete part and it would have had more of a punch for me!
