Ahh my favorite personalized gift ! Three puffer vests! Purchased in a 6 wk foray on email to Lands End at least four years ago ( yup, beginning of COVID spring of 2020)…
Wonderful colors and exactly right weight (read- ‘warmth’) for north coastal CA…
Get a huge (read: long, and easily wrapping around your whole self with very classy down — tiny feathers — that covers your knees at least but perhaps best all the way past to just above your ankles!!!
My dog is missing out .. but we’re long time family.. she saw the writing in the wall hours ago! And she’s not any younger than I am so she doesn’t expect a party every day 😉
Liza, the final drawing in today's offering, of the woman with unchecked exuberance, is what I'm grateful to you for. When all else fails, take off your clothes and dance. The weight you shed may be matched by the woes you leave in your wake.
It is truly difficult to comprehend how one sorry-assed individual has managed to dominate the news every single day for almost ten years straight…non-stop.
I love the puffy coat and your drawings. My oldest granddaughter is staying with us because she has had two gallbladder attacks recently. She was in the ER Friday night. She saw a doctor today and has a scan scheduled for next week to check her gallbladder, etc. Anyway, she doesn't work again until Friday, and college courses will have to wait a couple of days, so she feels better and wants to shop at a new store in our little town, Marshalls. This was like old times; it was a joy to shop for soft, comfy clothes. She needed a new winter coat, so she now has a white "puffy" coat, and we got it for only $8.00.
What a find. She will stay with us until she can drive her car safely back to school and work. She will now have a new coat to wear that is nice, puffy, and warm. Her other one was becoming tattered looking. I can talk about "him." The following 4 years, though, he wants it to be all about him. Nope! I have to focus on my volunteer work, quilting, crocheting, and sewing, and then next month, sometime, I will be sugaring again - in other words, making maple syrup. I know it's too much information. But this group, your words, your drawings, and Heather Cox Richardson will keep me from losing myself to the chaos.
One can only hope this ‘shock and awe’ will run itself down. There was an NPR feature this AM reporting that catching attention is now more important than actual news, as people more easily grasp that, and can run with it, rather than waiting for facts. Pretty scary stuff!
What a great statement about puffy jackets; no words needed to say exactly what is meant-which is one of the things which keep us looking forward to your content every day!
Please consider drawing a Trump News Desert, showing lots of smiling and dancing people holding various drinks.
buy that puffy coat! winter is not done with us! love the drawings today.

Sigh……I feel your pain...but LOVE your drawings! BTW, I got a new puffy coat…a North Face. Even though a little expensive, North Face jackets wear so well and their styling is good. I have a shorter one from 2008 that is good condition. I love this longer length. https://www.thenorthface.com/en-us/womens/womens-jackets-and-vests/womens-parkas-c327273/womens-hydrenalite-down-parka-pNF0A833D?color=JK3
Also at Nordstroms!
I can’t stop laughing at the puffy coats!!
omg puffy coat check!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Yup, exhausted is the word. And you make me smile. A gift!!!
Take good care of you and rest well with your muse.
