Ying yang day for Trump
Trump is going to trial.
He is the first ex-president to go to criminal trial, in a case related to hush-money payments to a porn star. The judge in this case, Judge Merchan, had little patience for Trump’s lawyers today, I read the moment-by-moment transcripts from the NY Times. Trump and his lawyers were trying to prove that the prosecution was acting in bad faith, they wanted a delay or a dismissal. The judge was not buying it at all, and set the trial for April 15th. The NY Times wrote, “In an hourlong hearing Monday, Justice Merchan slammed their arguments, rejecting them all.” The judge even questioned the resume of one of Trump’s lawyers as Trump looked on. Merchan told Trump, raising his voice, that he was trying to make him (the judge) complicit in charging prosecutorial misconduct against the Attorney General, and that he had nothing to prove any such thing.
In the civil fraud case, the NY State Court of Appeals drastically reduced Trump’s $454 million fine and gave him ten days to get a bond to cover it. It’s infuriating that he gets special treatement! Why? I want to know why! Will we ever know?

"It’s infuriating that he gets special treatement! Why? I want to know why! Will we ever know?" My thoughts exactly. Did they give a reason for this? Did the press not ask? Inquiring minds (any minds for that matter) want to know. Why in the double heck did they reduce this penalty? Why? Why? Why?
