Below are some drawings of people I saw at an upscale farmer’s market in the Hudson Valley several weeks ago. The speech balloons are things I actually heard. Enjoy! Thanks for saving me a trip to the local Farmer's Market. I'm rarely in the mood to go myself. Maybe it's because I have no health-related interest in fruits and veggies. A lavender-colored donut would work for me, though.
Great glimpses of the Hudson Valley farmer's market! Laughed at the "artisan" popsicles--does that mean each one is hand-carved and signed by the maker? And what flavor is lavender anyway? Reminds me of the scents from my grandmother's house.
Here in VT we tend toward deep discussions about best kombucha (a great! word) and the horrible flooding many of us endured). More hopefully, I've always figured that the local animal shelter should be at the popular markets with a gazillion puppies so shy folks "on the lookout" could rent out a puppy for the morning as a way to meet new friends and partners.
My favorite is the closer. Something about it, perhaps the hat. Reminds me of when my kiddos were littles. Life gives us no shortage of inspiration, that's for sure. Thank you Liza!
These are all so fun! You're a master eavesdropper along with your other talents. Hope your trip west is going well.
Thanks!

Almost makes me miss New England. But they still have cold and snow there.
There are "Farmer's Market's" and farmers selling goods - not usually the same! Very clever, Liza.

The variety, and specificity, of the hats and hairstyles in these is amazing. Oh, and the dogs, so sweet.
Thanks, PHilip!

Thank you! That little girl in that drawing was so cute! It's the only drawing I did from a photo, but I had to snap the shot and draw her.
“A peacock with sprinkles” 😀 I’ve been looking for a personal brand; I think I found it!
ha!!!
I love the random vox pops and the timelessness of these drawings.
Thanks, D.L.
"Have you ever seen a bear's nose up close?" --- definitely want the back story on that one!!!
