The original caption I had for this was the bird saying,
“This is a bird feeder. What you want is an elephant feeder.”
Did I improve it with the above? Which do you like better?
We just put up a bird feeder again recently. The ones we had for many years had to come down because we now have bears in the area. I wish I could feel safe feeding the bears—like I would feeding this elephant if she stopped by—but I don’t. But now we are back at it, dedicated to bringing the feeder in every single night so the bears aren’t tempted to visit our backyard.
Do elephants like bird seed? I guess they might. What would be in an elephant feeder if there were such things?
Here is another bird feeder drawing. This little bird is in the there’s-no-free-lunch camp.
I love feeding the birds, and have missed it. It was something we did in our family in the suburbs where I grew up. Squirrels were the culprits in our neighborhood, not bears. We would grease the poll of the feeder and guiltily enjoy watching the squirrels slide down.
It’s a quiet Sunday and not a lot of breaking news. I probabaly will get back to ranting about something on Monday. Trump’s first trial is a week from Monday…hold onto your hats, it will be a wild ride.
Thanks for being here.
I like the caption you chose because the bird sounds kinder and more helpful. Cute.
Oh my gosh! We have bears, too, here in Colorado, but I honestly never even thought to bring the bird feeder inside for the night! We love watching our birds!
