OK. I really laughed loudly and fully with this. Very clever .... and sad. I love starting my day with a grin. xoxo

Wonderful funny cartoon and so timely. Thanks for the laugh. Too bad our Tariff Sheriff thinks tariffs scare other countries when eventually we will be the ones who pay. What else doesn't he understand ?

Michael, ignore the orange faced buffoon and ask yourself, 'what don't we understand about MAGA policies that excited half of the voters?'.

He spoke. They applauded. There was no "understanding" involved

Uh, everything. And he doesn't care

The cartoon is great as is. Less is more, so no primary. Love the sister’s facial expression! HA!

The Free Press published a very insightful article today, 'How MAGA Won the Sensitive Young Man'. I've restacked the article as I think its a must read.

Great cartoon. I'd love to engage with a live event--but, being in CST and working, not likely. Posting the events after the fact--or maybe this is already your practice--would be cool. All my best

Concerning the poll.. How about something like Bob Reich's Saturday Coffee Klatch? It's always on Saturday mornings and I never miss it. Why not something similar?

Thanks Liza! I love when you spontaneously go live—I’m sorry when I miss them, but you have a knack for understanding when we need some levity. If you were to have regular live sessions, it would be like work, which I would not want for you.

Good point. I voted for "regular time", but there's a lot to be said for spontaneously responding to events in real time.

I loved your cartoon about a woman asking if she can join her cat in a tree. What about a series of cartoons about cats acting like humans and their human "pets" acting like cats?

Two cats talking about their humans who are just lying around and can sleep anywhere or who can crawl all over the house. You get the idea.

Robert, I know Lisa is much more generous than I am. During one phase of my life in which I was a 'creative' there were some lovely suggestions, but they did not outnumber the 'tongue biters'🙃.

Thus, I am very embarrassed to be wishing that my favorite cartoonist, after the month that was, would do something with: "2 Corinthians walked into a bar..."

Your live broadcasts: I'm so glad you do them and feel they need to happen when you are feeling the need/want more than us, as it takes a certain amount of extra energy, etc. And, since you replay them, I still get to experience them 2d hand, so to speak.

So. you do when you can/want to do them! Thank you!

I, too, laughed aloud... Quoting E.B. White: “A despot doesn't fear eloquent writers preaching freedom-he fears a drunken poet may crack a joke that will take hold.” I know, this quote has been repeated ad nauseum... but it's true, and worth repeating. (Looking at you, too, Ann Telnaes, and countless other cartoonists and humorists.) Especially true where very thin-skinned politicians are concerned, thin-skinned politicians who fear ridicule more than criticism, thin-skinned politicians who thrive on obsequious praise and flattery. (Note: I do not mean to impugn your reputation by implying that you are a "drunken poet", Liza; I hope you get my meaning. Cheers!)

Drunken poet, I will take! Also I love E.B.White, please quote him anytime. Thank you.

If you're looking for something quotable, toss a dart at anything E.B.White wrote, and the odds are in your favor.

As for drunken tariff, imagine that coming from a teetotaler.
