Sitting in the autumn sun with my dogs, looking at chapter 3 of WHEN DO THEY SERVE THE WINE, and this post arrived — what fun 🤩!

Liza ~ I love this cartoon! Even though I'm a life-long cat person, I can relate to this situation. It gave my spirits a Saturday lift. Thanks!

And.. this is me.. always with the animals. I'm so socially awkward that being with my dogs and other peoples pets is my happy place.

Happy times, always, finding the right spot in a busy house of chattering adults ! I once spent an hour or more ‘talking’ w/a turtle in a large enclosure in the ‘studio’ of someone’s upstate NY home.

You nailed it! You always do! I intended, but never followed through, a proper thank you when you responded to my first note to you, describing that I came to know of your Substack during the DNC convention, and how I seem to save your email, once spied in the inbox, as a treat because I know it always will be that. I spread myself over too many paths… Seems to be God‘s plan right now and He loves watching me try to prioritize each day… Lol… In my neighborhood, some of the neighbors are very high-end people who travel internationally, big-time real estate, etc.… My husband always knew how to mingle with grace because he was simply secure with who he was, the man I loved and still love… For me, I was usually sitting with the au pairs, visiting and having a great time. At the other tables, I felt like a bump on a log. I totally relate to your cartoon today. Thank you, as always. You’re amazing. And thank you for your kind response awhile back. (Please forgive my laziness not going back to find it.)

Don't worry! I love that you characterize it that God is wanting you to be busy! I can't stop being busy or else I get down....gotta keep moving for some reason.

Well, I am from Washington DC. My husband, who is from Jersey, calls me a "southern girl."

That said, I rarely say it unless it fits the situation!

Nice. I’m from WVa and have lived nearly 40 years in NC.”Y’all” has been common to me, but often made fun of by people from “the north.” Just caught my attention when you said it(Wrote it.) in such a natural manner.
