Thank you for this touching tribute to Mr. Weber. And thank you for your wonderfully perceptive drawings… happy Saturday.

Liza, you are so right. With just a stick of charcoal Weber could render a humorous moment with a simple drawing and wording. You have the same gift with pen and watercolors to see and show and say what's funny about a moment of life. Thank you.

Always such variety, always a surprise, always a nugget for us to savor, giving thanks it was bestowed and walking away with it in a pocket, knowing we can reach in and touch it, to calm and comfort. I’ll include a web link (It’s massive… Please forgive me for the length. I googled “pocket stone” and it came up with worry stone, but…)… in our family, we have chosen to push aside worry in that that Martin Luther‘s father said if you are worrying, you are not praying enough. We take that to heart. And there’s the adage that worry does not empty tomorrow if it’s troubles. It empties today of its strength.

I listen as I drive, clicked on the link for Bob Weber‘s obituary, and it was so beautiful, so much uplift and joy… It’s why I’m writing to you, grateful for the humanity, the giftedness, the acuity and sensitivity of what we encounter when we click on a post by Liza Donnelly. So grateful. Thank you.

These are such wonderful cartoons, Liza---thank you! I'm sorry to say I did not know of Robert Weber so I feel like you've given me an absolute gift. They ARE really amazing drawings and the humor and facial expressions ARE perfect. I think the two best drawings are "The thing I like about New York..." and "So this is where the magic happens" but I really like the humor in all of them. Thanks, again.

Thanks Liza. I wore orange today with so many people for End to Gun Violence in support of gun violence survivors. Terrific people and forum but we have to get people involved and enthused.

thanks for sharing Bob with us-and thanks for your cartoon of the couple in front of Manhattan. I have always loved the water towers on the rooftops- with their pointy hats they are like little creatures.

Charcoal! His scanner must've been a mess, not unlike his kitchen.

Explains the hangdog look in the cartoon.

Love these....especially the one about being old and the one about where the magic happens. Mr. Weber sounds like a special man. Glad he came into your life and made it brighter, and glad you shared him with us.
