We had the first snow of the season here in New York yesterday, it was (and still is) beautiful. Made me want to share this cartoon from 2015….I’ve done a lot of snow cartoons over the years, but this is one of my favorites. Were I to rewrite it, I might write it this way: “What makes you assume I want to perform my gender as a male?”
Do you know the British animated movie The Snowman, based on a 1978 Raymond Briggs book? We’ve been watching it with our kids forever, and now those kids are men. We still watch it together, this time of the year. The piano accompaniment is poignant and magical.
That's so sweet you all watch it together even though they are grown. I've heard of it, but have not seen it, I don't think. We always watch Elf with our grown daughters every year!
