Frankly, I'm puzzled by Judge Merchan tolerance for what seems to me a great deal of irrelevant detail. The facts are undeniable. Can any of the jurors have reasonable doubts regarding the facts. Murders have been found guilt with less convincing evidence!
Bill, he basically didn’t have any choice. And, he made that known today after the jury was excused and the motions were presented by the defense to A. Strike her testimony because it was irrelevant and damning to their client, and B. Motion for dismissal and mistrial.
Both motions were denied. Judge Merchan advised the defense attorneys that they themselves opened the door in their opening statements to the jury. They were the ones that brought the sex act into question, and they were the ones that didn’t over two hours this morning questioning her about the sex act. He explained because if them opening the door so wide on their opening statement, and their questioning, they are the reason that they have given so much latitude to the prosecution and tied his hands of stopping the line of questioning, as he did yesterday with the prosecution when they brought up the sex act. He again reminded them that he told them it was iff target, and too much information. Yet, on the cross examination yesterday afternoon, and this morning, there were no questions about the payments, or anything rose pertaining to the charges against their client. All they could question her about was the sex act.
The judge scorched the defense attorney’s asses!!! I hope after he’s found guilty on all counts that they file an appeal. They will be laughed out of the appellate court!!!
Ohhh, WOW, Liza. This was a ‘HOT’ testimony today. The defense attorneys cross-examination of Stormy was “interesting” to say the least.
I’m surprised that they took the questioning the direction they did, especially after objecting so staunchly yesterday during her testimony on the prosecution questioning. They requested an immediate Mistrial on the fact that they couldn’t possibly defend their client after her testimony,
Poor them. They need to talk their client into changing his plea on all 34 county to “guilty as charged” then, and ‘throw himself in the mercy of the court’ for sentencing.
Trump is guilty as sin. He openly stated that he never met this woman, never had sex with this woman, and didn’t have a clue who this woman was. Guess what? She’s all but described his privates!!! She described the penthouse suite she went to gave ‘dinner’ with him in Nevada. What was in his toiletries bag, the tile of the bathroom, and described the penthouse itself.
Then she was grilled about the ‘sex’ she had, or according to the defense, she didn’t have. I think if the judge would have allowed her, she’d described it in grave detail, but he let it be known that there was too much information that was way off topic.

I love how she was poised on the witness stand, looking directly at the juries when responding to the questions given to her. She was very professional acting, refused to get ‘rattled’ at the defense grilling about her ‘profession’, and gave good, clear, convincing, concise, responses to the questions asked. Numerous times she had to correct the defense attorney when the questioning was in at attempt to show that she was “changing her testimony”, or “said thus before” when she hadn’t. At one point the defense attorney pulled up her prior testimony to show her she had in fact said a certain statement, which actually had NOT been said. The defense attorney had about a dozen eggs broken on her face right at that moment. The judge just sat there and shook his head.

As the mop flops. So, really, this whole thing is farcical. If they didn't have sex, why would he pay her hush money? To say they did, when they didn't? Doesn't make sense.
