Enjoy time with family and a big endorsement for indoor gardens. Sun is shining in VT and we await the predicted many who will travel here for eclipse--including those who will get stuck in our hundreds of miles of muddy roads. Tow truck mechanics will have stories to tell!!!
The media, especially Vermont Public radio has been reminding us for weeks that the eclipse is a once in a lifetime event, and they believe we’re all going to stop our lives in celebration. The worried weather forecasters are quietly reminding us there’s an 80% chance the sky will be overcast, and the diminishment of sunshine won’t be extraordinarily powerful. Interestingly, one of the emergency directors in a small town who tends to the drama warns us all that Internet will be overloaded. water will be snapped up from the stores, scores and scores of big SUVs from Boston will be stuck in the mud roads, and it will be quite the afternoon of havoc . I’ll be in my front yard front yard talking to the chickadees and looking to see if the streets are filled with out-of-state visitors . I am more concerned that bears with extraordinary smells are heading towards my house to sort through my winter’s sunflower seeds
Mud season usually 2-3 weeks. Park and walk is best. I have bikes with wider tires. Tow truck work is hard!!! They deserve lots of work and then maybe they all leave when real spring arrives. And they hang out in the sunshine saying, "remember that guy from Connecticut who thought his Mercedes would not get stuck?????"

When is the eclipse? Enjoy!!
Gorgeous day here! May all who celebrate Easter have a lovely holiday. May the rest of us enjoy a wonderful breather wherever you may be. 🙏🙏🙏
Really cute cartoon. I lived in Manhattan long enough to appreciate it.
Love this one!! It’s up on my fridge for inspiration!
Great! That's a high compliment for a cartoonist, on the fridge!
Gives a whole new meaning to “farm to table.”

Good luck! Sounds a little nightmarish, I know those back roads!
