THANK YOU for saying that it's not a sad time NOW... it was the saddest time in our history when he was elected! My goodness... does CNN have stockholm syndrome?

I agree that the sadness began with his running and election. Has CNN become the new Fox News?

CNN was trying to be less one sided with the new CEO. He's gone now, just left CNN so we will see what happens going forward.

SCENE: Kitchen. TV is on, reporting the election results.

"The West shall rise again." I texted my Sisters.

"the west is irrelevant." the TV reports.

That's the last time I watched any form of mainstream media. One of the best most healing choices of my life. As the late-great-lyrical-wizard, John Prine wrote (and sang) ...

Loved that song from the first time I heard it!

"Plant a little garden

Eat a lot of peaches

Try an' find Jesus on your own"

Which election, dare I ask?

I think it's very important to stay informed, but the news is often so toxic - It can be depressing and overwhelming. Must find balance.

I agree with you regarding the sadness of having Trump as our past president. The saddest and most scary part is the part of our country that was brought into the open by him, encouraged by him and made more dangerous by him. This chapter will be distorted by the newsmedias' dependence on the money that follows dramatic and divisive coverage. We need the truth, not click bait.
