Saw Biden's remarks this morning, and thought they were funny and on target. Same with Jost's. Still, neither of them have the comic delivery of Barack Obama.
I did not watch and just made it through only 11 minutes of the monologue video. I did not want to watch anymore, which is not a good feeling when watching a comedian. In my book, he was not that funny. A good line here and there. Maybe too truthful to be actually humorous it seemed to me. And too much about Trump. Roast the President not the past President. I think he gets press when he should not. Ignore him if you really want to annoy him.
We watched the event - it was more interesting than I thought it might be. Biden was very good. Colin Jost had some good lines, but I thought he was taking the temperature of the room too much - seemed almost too self-aware.
I thoroughly enjoyed the evening! President Biden is very much on top of his game and a great sense of humor! Great timing delivering jokes also.
Colin Jost was great ! The Democratic campaign is beginning to address “ the Donald” straight on and I think the timing is well thought out.

And Colin Jost was AWESOME!! The NYT/WaPo are just nursing their bruised egos because Stern got Biden and they… didn’t.

I hear you, humor is subjective. I have grown to like him.
I fear that ignoring Trump is a dangerous idea, though. It's a tough thing because he should not get press, but then he is a menace.
