Today's narrative and cartoons are outstanding. I don't know if we'll have any history after November, but the one we have now is glorious, despite the pain and gliches.

Cannot imagine the emotion as you walked on the ground that held so many of those who willingly sacrificed their futures to keep the world safe.

What was in it for them? Maybe recognizing the future depended upon them. That their families would live in peace, unmolested by evil.

It is hard to imagine, isn't it?

I am a veteran of post WWII world conflicts. Thank you for using your talents to honor those gone before, both ones who history glorifies, as well as the ones who returned home forever changed. Also for your works to nudge humankind towards a sunnier tomorrow. And never forget the civilians who both directly and indirectly suffered the chaos called warfare. 🙏

Yes, you are right. The civilians. There must be so many stories in Europe...so many passed down for generations.

If America is conquered by a fascist like Germany was, will European countries rise to our defense to help us topple him or will we have to rise up ourselves alone? What would it mean for NATO to launch a war against the United States to help free us from that tyrant? I hope we don’t ever have to answer that question… in five months, the question will have more clarity. Five months against 249 years.

That's a very good question. We are so far away. But I think that our allies would help us, I really do. Can you even imagine, a civil war with Europe involved? oh my god.

You said exactly what I thought as I stood on the cliff where the gun towers were, looking down on that wide open beach. It must have been beyond bravery. Just awe inspiring.
