Much the same thoughts. Only I would not have been so kind to the demented one (and ask who is the more demented? Him or his followers?)

Wonderful Drawing! Trump hair is exaggerated but really it does make him stand out against the backdrop of grey-haired men.

My prediction is that the first female POTUS will be from the Republican Party. Haley may yet be that person, but not this round and she knows it. 2028 ... if Trump loses and America gets an election in 2028. I think that’s where she is campaigning...

The dictionary definition seems to fit perfectly! And the drawing, too.

I have long thought that American illiteracy is a big part of the problem. Trump panders to them, also to the crude. Most of his supporters don’t read legitimate newspapers but get their info from dubious websites and like-minded social media. And I wonder if some of them sense, perhaps subconsciously, that he too is illiterate, and that’s why they connect with him.

Agree, LInda. So much of the US is anti-intellectual.

The image depicting Trump as a calculating and deluding pied paper leading the pack of delusional sheep is perfect. I also think a herd of lemmings senselessly following each other over a cliff into the abyss powerfully depicts where the Republican Party is headed.... and therefore all of us:(.

You are wise, and right to wonder just what is going on in the minds of Americans ...to be clamoring for the election of a man who promises “Rage, Retaliation, and Retribution”. Sad Sicko, 👎🏼

Love the drawing. Like many it boggles my mind to see MAGA followers and in interviews to talk about liking “Trump policies” ( I didn’t know he had any) . Another common reply ,”he kept his promises “. We’ll see where things go,I’d love to see Nikki Haley make him sweat a bit.

Great image, the dollar signs really nail it. I think it helps to see Trump as a utopian leader... for his followers. He promises everything they want, and above all he promises them that it will be easy, he’ll take care of everything, he’ll deliver all your wishes on day one. That’s a really intoxicating lure. He’s the candy man.

They'll go after Nikki Haley when she becomes a genuine threat. And the old tropes will be as devastating to her as they were to Hilary Clinton.

I too have been perplexed but no longer. Having read Tim Alberta’s book The Kingdom, the Power and the Glory I believe trump’s followers will never leave him even after he is dead. The evangelical pastors are reaping a huge growth in followers and money from trump and the more outrageous he is, the more indictments, the more money.

Jimmy Swaggart, Jim and Tammy, Falwell ... it’s all one.

Brilliant illustration. I also concur with your opinion of him as a cult leader. He is so Hitler-life; I bet Mein Kampf is next to his night table. He's using all the same tactics; fear mongering, the "other" did it all; the "other," not laziness or circumstances, is responsible for your not getting ahead. And I am bolstered by Haley's second place in NH. He is denigrating her and being a bully and that might not work with independents. I think she just might be able to do it....especially if he is convicted. I've heard numerous commentators say the Repugs don't want a felon as a candidate. But it didn't bother them before.
