Trump Is Becoming More Blatant

His brash lies and fear tactics are more mainstream

I think Trump’s “rally-speak” is spilling out into the mainstream. Not ever having been to one of rallies, I am only guessing, but it seems as if some of the fear tactics he uses at those gatherings, he is now saying boldly and brashly in interviews. He doesn’t even try to disguise them anymore. They seem—no, they are— unhinged. And he continually lies, even more unabashedly.

Today, Heather Cox Richardson wrote a strong piece about Trump and included this:

“He became so incoherent in Philadelphia that the Fox News Channel actually cut away while he was talking.”

He rambles, lies and constantly paints the US as a failing nation, riddled with crime. How can this work? Most Americans love this country, it’s only his blind followers who will believe anything he says.

His followers claim they don’t want a “Democracy.” They instead claim we are a “Republic.” Some openly say they would be happy with “King Trump.”

Leading up to the debate on Thursday between Biden and Trump, Trump is lowering expectations, but also demanding that Biden take a drug test before the event. He and his team have so often repeatedly claimed that Biden is incompetent, feeble and shaky, that they are implying that he will be on some kind of performance drug the night of the debate. That’s the only reason he could be so good. This is an OUTRAGEOUS allegation. This should be front page news: that the leader of the Republican Party is accusing his opponent of drug use.

It seems that the news media is slowly becoming more critical and real about Trump and who he is. All while he is getting more and more wild in his comments and speeches. As if he is desperate.

Today is the two-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe V Wade, and a woman’s right to make decisions about their own bodies. Let’s hope there won’t be a third year anniversay.

I drew this the moment I saw the Capitol Insurrection beginning, as I watched it unfold on tv. They will not be allowed to rewrite history.
