Peacefully, the US Congress certified Trump’s victory today. The results of the certification were announced, ironically, by Vice President Kamala Harris. There was no violence, no property damage, no terror, injury or death at the Capitol today, unlike in 2021, when a vicious, hateful mob tried to stop the certification of electoral votes for Joe Biden, who won the election.
We must not forget the heros of that day, who stopped the terrorists from killing members of Congress and thwarting the democratic process. Among them was police officer Eugene Goodman. There were many heros.
Here is a video of his heroic actions inside the Capitol.
Continuing to lie and try to cheat the truth (do we expect otherwise, really?), Trump is currently trying to halt the sentencing for his conviction in the hush-money trial in NYC. According to the NY times, he plans to mount a full-scale offensive, seeking an “emergency appellate review,” and filing a civil suit against the ruling judge, Justice Merchan. Trump says the sentencing will be a “distraction” from his presidential duties. Attacking judges and delay are all part of Trump’s modus operandi. I am guessing it won’t work this time, but then it seems like Trump always gets what he wants in the end.
When will it stop?
MAGA and many in the GOP are attempting to squash the truth. We must not let them.

I can't think of a worse day in my lifetime (Jan 6) I cannot imagine the voters who put this criminal back in the White House. I am so disappointed in the American electrate, can't imagine what the next 4 years will be like. Woe is me.
