I agree with you the plaque needs to go up. Perhaps contacting our congresspeople and Senators? Keep contacting and don't forget.

It's so sad this is so overlooked. I don't understand why, other than it seems everyone caves to Trump.

I could only watch part of the video. It makes me so upset and sad. I hope as time goes on we make today as a National Day of Mourning. For our country and what was taken from us (it was a rape) and for those who stood strong against the rioters, some losing their lives.

I feel so sad today for what we have become.

No snow where I am in Oregon —- just in the mountains for the skiers and snowboarders. Sort of Nature like God intended — to paraphrase a quote from Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia or even Lerner and Lowe’s Camelot. Glad you are feeling better, Liza. I hope all the New Yorker-like cartoons about the human condition continue. However, it’s hard to make light of January 6. Even if Trump pardons the rioters, who is going to hire them? The future is still murky in many ways.

I can't think of a worse day in my lifetime (Jan 6) I cannot imagine the voters who put this criminal back in the White House. I am so disappointed in the American electrate, can't imagine what the next 4 years will be like. Woe is me.

just heard trump wants to replace the head of the National Archive, presumably in favor of someone who will rule that the Presidential Papers Act doesn't apply to presidents.

Isn't there a saying or a reference to people avoiding talking about or acknowledging the elephant in the room? Well, the elephant isn't just in a room - should have been - a cell - but as the biggest elephant of them all, he will continue to lie and find those who will join the herd or follow the herd of elephants. You are right - we can't let the elephants stomp the truth to death!

We cannot bury this. We have to keep it alive. We can't let them say this was a bunch of tourists visiting. Every January 6th, we should bring out that video and your art as a testimony to the truth. Along with the others below, it makes me sad. Still, I do have hope, when people will awake from their dream of a perfect world to the chaos that is certain to come, and wait, oh wait until they see food prices skyrocket, social security cuts, and the state of things to come. They have opened the pandora's box and unfortunately, we all will fall prey to the consequences. Time to destress and pet the cat. Hope you're feeling better. Please please take care of yourself.

Is it possible to buy your artwork? I love the elephant squashing the truth.

I should note that the image of the elephant standing on the truth sums up much of what causes me despair. Especially after yesterday, where with certification of the electoral votes, the last hope to stop this train wreck was smothered. Without a line between truth and lies, we are in unfathomable waters.

Jan. 20 is also, and perhaps more importantly, our MLK federal holiday. This holiday is often thought of as a day of service. We picked up trash our first time celebrating. That seems appropriate this time too.
