None of us can figure out why he STILL has so many supporters. Sigh.

I'm questioning the pictures of Eric in the boat. I see Heather Cox Richardson's name attached which makes me feel foolish, but this looks faked to me. I would never believe they are incapable of doing these things though..

I think you might be correct, Paula. Eric’s old man was afraid to leave the dock on his yacht

I checked and it appears it was a boat event that Eric hosted and those guys showed up. If they were invited, I don't know.

Yes, please keep drawing the fascist. I think the more voices shining light on his appalling darkness the better. Thanks!

(Pardon the rather mixed metaphor😏)

Liza, keep drawing the little boy who looks like a school kid in his blue suit, red tie uniform and his baseball cap. This child belongs on a playground or a golf course, not in the White House.

I do believe his bedtime reading is Mein Kempf (spelling?) A friend of mine shared his thoughts about why people are so besotted with him: He is using his accordion hand movements to hypnotize his followers. You know, with all this nonsense, lies, and disinformation. Well, that's no crazier than the things that come from his mouth. Still can't get over him dissing Detroit at a meeting of Detroit businessmen. Oh, on another, more positive note: I love the leaves. They are free, don't have to worry about what color they are, and don't have to fear their reproductive rights will be taken away.

I find it interesting that in. Red state like SC, all the yard signs I see are for our local candidates. Saw one yesterday for tRump and 3 for Harris. That was through west Summerville and when driving through the center of town I saw none for either candidate. Mind you this is just one city in a small state but even driving to the beach, all the signs are for local people. I’m hoping that this is a good sign!

This sounds like a Very Good Sign! Everybody is thinking and no doubt talking to each other in private settings… but very few are ‘advertising’ or promoting their personal views … Voting is intended to be for Your Own Choice of Candidate for each office…

The energy is extremely negative in the T campaign… w his South African bred, ‘naturalized’ American citizen trillionaire throwing his money all over our election campaign … clearly to give himself a ‘new thrill’ …. To Add a new paragraph to his biography on Google …

Our Task is to Vote & support everyone 18 & older to V O T E their private conscience.

Perhaps voters for Harris are concerned that a sign in the yard will bring on retaliation, or a name and address on a list somewhere. : (

I watch football with my husband and that’s where I’ve been seeing Trump ads and a few Harris ads. My cousin in Pennsylvania can’t take any ads anymore, but worries about the Electoral College more than individual voters. Meanwhile our city is going through a systematic change of government and I’m strategizing who to choose as Number 1 in our voting process for local mayor and local commissioners. I think your drawing of leaves going up sums up my feelings right now! the magnetic poles are shifting for sure! I hope calmness prevails.

Thanks for writing. I think this is a dilemma: stop writing about him in the hope he will go away or write about him to be sure all who read your stuff remembers. I vote for the later. But more perhaps about how good Kamala will be for the country. The real question is where are the Dem strategists and why are they not telling their supporters what they want done?

Robert Reich wrote today to keep the faith and keep telling people who may still be undecided why it is important to vote and to vote for Kamala. Be well all. Keep up the good fight.

I'm thinking women will solve this problem. I know women. I've lived with a few and can speak from experience that they don't have short term memories and when they tell you "everything is fine", it's not. All the women I know are done with this clown car.

I've also known a few women that were republicans and acted like they would vote like their husbands and then do the complete opposite on election day. It's very passive aggressive but hilarious.

You ask an excellent question at the beginning of todays message. “How do I write/draw about this “unhinged, incompetent fascist.” I’ll try to answer it.

Another gifted cartoonist addressed a similar question years ago. His cartoon was labeled “Washington Crossing The Delaware.”. There are many such cartoons. His caption said "WE HAVE SEEN THE ENEMY, AND HE IS US!"

It was true then; it’s true now.

It's time to stop blaming others for the political chaos in our country. The chaos is our fault. Collectively and individually. The time for excuses is over.

There will always be "crazies" looking to advance their bizarre crazy agendas. When they have the support of half the electorate in a 340 million person country, we have to look beyond the "crazies."

The answers are there. We just have to find them and publish them. As a former American history teacher, I explored why we had so many boring textbooks. I went to the history book publishing conventions, and they told me the answer. "We are in the bookselling business, and the truth doesn't sell well."

A direct quote!!

As a current PhD in Psychology, I can tell you it’s impossible to solve a problem we can't acknowledge.

You may feel stuck now, but you have a unique opportunity. Cartoons have the power to bypass the suspicious cognitive mind. They deliver the message to a deep place. The people with the words can follow later. Show them the picture, and they will follow.

You have the gift. We’re counting on you.🙏

When I read HCR I look at her citations at the end to check out her sources. They offer further information. She’s very good about this!

Also love the leaves flying up! So clever—

My worry is what happens after trump loses and he calls up his angry mobs— some are members of the military. I hope the President and the Biden administration are prepared for that. President Biden is still in office until January 20th. I am worried even if Harris and Walz are the victors in this election.
