This is a moment in history. Great questions and answers in this interview. It is clear that everyone that loves our country, stands for what it good and right vote for Biden.

In a sane world, the defense of “our democracy” would not have been entrusted to to a political hack like Joe Biden—who is now, in addition to his longstanding and deep mediocrity, sinking into senile decay. While I’m no fan of Donald Trump, the claim that the reelection of Joe Biden is America’s last, best hope leaves me cold. Is this the best that the defenders of “our democracy” can do: propping up a galvanized corpse? My advice would be to ignore Professor Richardson’s bloviations, which clearly are crafted to service her subscribers.

Absent a comet strike, thanks to Biden’s debate debacle Donald Trump is going to win in November. Show of hands, please: Who really thinks that Zombie Zoe can bounce back?

Thomas, why are you here? I am just wondering, because you seem to enjoy saying really horrible things about Joe Biden.

So yes, Joe Biden was a middle of the road Democrat used quite successfully by the likes of Strom Thurmond and Orin Hatch. And we can partially blame him for the occurrence of Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court, but he did not vote for him. His mismanagement of the committee by not calling collaborating witnesses to Anita Hill begot this grifting man, Clarence.

However, he was of great service to President Obama and I do not think Barack could have chosen better. I was surprised when Jim Clyburn came out so strongly for Joe.

But his record in office has been incredible and I think that his decades of work in DC gave him the connections and experience to deal with the burn it to ground Republican Party, the party that met the night of Obama’s inauguration and swore they would block every thing he tried to do and make him a one term president.

Joe Biden stood with Barack, and he stood proud.

These are unusual times and as history has shown us we need to be united and stand by him or we end up with a Nixon or a Reagan and a Bush.

I just wish you would go somewhere else to spread your Biden Dissatisfaction, maybe like the Washington Post or the New York Times. This little place is special to me, so maybe you could just go somewhere else.

Good night y’all.

I I am hoping that democracy will exist here in the United States in July of 2025, because I have 3 children and 1 grandchild and a lot of younger friends that I hope can live on this planet and not destroyed by a Rapist, pedophile, cheating, lying, grifting, sociopath, Nazi named Donald.

Well, Claudia, I’m here to testify to the sad reality of Joe Biden: that he’s a political hack and a deeply, deeply mediocre human being. Honestly, if you think that Zombie Joe stands comparison with Ronald Reagan, you need your head examined. Check this out, and ask yourself if Biden could equal it.

I agree that the truth is horrible. But it’s also kind of funny. Turns out that the self-proclaimed defenders of “our democracy” have been covering up for a president who’s falling apart. And oh, how enjoying their well-deserved comeuppance!

You know what is horrible, Thomas M Gregg?Dachau.

No kidding? Well, I think I can safely say that I know a great deal more about the history of Nazi Germany than you do. I happen to hold a master’s degree in history and that was my area of concentration. Odd that you picked Dachau, incidentally, which though a horrible place, was not a death camp. Why not Auschwitz?

Dachau was the first in 1933. Take your Nazi peddling somewhere else, you horrible disgruntled person.

You need to learn some history. Dachau wasn't an extermination camp. It was a concentration camp. Its regime was brutal, to be sure, but its primary purpose wasn't mass murder. When first opened, Dachau was intended to house the regime's political opponents: communists, socialists, and other dissidents. Later Dachau and the complex of subcamps that grew up around it assumed the character of forced labor camps. The camp population also included German criminals, Jews and a variety of foreign nationals.

Some 200,000 people were incarcerated there between 1933 and 1945, an estimated 45,000 of whom perished.

My advice to you is to do a little research before you pop off. That way, your adolescent malice would at least be based on something more than gross ignorance.

Thankful for Heather Cox Williamson. She has been and remains in the frontlines of intelligent people working to preserve our Democracy.

Below is an interview with Kara Swisher six (6) days ago. With her vast knowledge of American history and other factors Williamson makes some strong points on the possible perils of changing candidates in midstream.

This is an excellent and succinct piece with Christiane Amanpour, thank you Liza.

Seriously??? Do you think Professor Cox Richardson gives a rat’s ass about who or how many follow or subscribe to her posts? For such an accomplished historian, educator and author … what would be her motive? With her knowledge and scholarly perspective of our history she is able and willing to educate and warn us to pay attention to the danger our democracy is facing in this election.
