I feel obligated to watch even though I will have to shut my eyes when Trump talks. It’s hard to look at him for my health! I really don’t believe CNN is up to it.
I spent my Junior in Italy in the late ‘70s. I can’t remember what we pair for a large bottle of Amaretto but it was dirt cheap. We put it in everything. I really love it. Enjoy!!
I will watch, but unfortunately after the event, as I am going to the theater with a friend that night. I too am a wine drinker (chardonnay), but may need something stronger. And a shower afterward.
I will, blessedly, be in England at a family wedding (i.e. a niece marrying into a British family) on Thursday. But I'll check the reviews and clips when I get home, and probably tipple a little -- if not more than a little, either in celebration or dismay..
Try a Tormenta Negra sometime: Fill a tall glass with ice, add an ounce and a half of dark rum and two dashes of bitters, top it off with ginger ale, give it a stir, and garnish with a wedge of lime.
Truth be told, I won't watch. Too distressing and he makes me gag. The good news is they will be turning off the microphones to stop the discussion when each party's time is up. My husband says...that won't stop the orange man...he will walk up to The President (the Real President's ) mic, grab it from him and continue spouting nonsense. I wish I had a stronger stomach. I probably will be praying not watching. Blech.
Love the cave person drawing! Please ply us with humor until Thursday--or at least a drawing about how not to bite fingernails. Our guy just has to make the other one look as bad as possible.
My husband and I will be joining his college friends on a lake in Maine on Thursday. We will bond to be watching. I’m not looking forward to my husband losing it over everything The Convicted Felon says.
I can’t hold my liquor very well anymore. So I go with a wine spritzer. Preferably a red wine. It’s refreshing and I can drink a couple.
Made myself a whiskey sour, the only real way to make one like my mother would say when she drank one about once a year on NYE. citric acid powder and 1.5 jiggers Gentleman Jack and 2 Monardo cherries and 1/4tsp. Clear Cherry liqueur. Shaken with ice until freezing cold and super foamy. Strained. Delicious.
I am not much of a drinker of any kind but my friend is visiting and we decided to ‘cocktail’ while the lobsters cooked. I totally agree that it is fun to have a cocktail when you rarely do. Fresh ‘bugs’ (in local parlance) right out of the lobsterman’s crate down at the dock float. One texts his daughter to confirm number needed, if thumbs up on supply (which has not once been a thumbs down), then bring a bucket to the dock, weigh myself then weigh myself with lobsters in a plastic bag on an electronic bathroom scale. Text his daughter with weight, get price and Venmo her. ($8.50/# out here 😃) in Maine Island living land. Honor systems everywhere. And the cocktail was great. Then 1/2 a cold Pilsner beer with a cup of haddock chowdah, lobstah, salt potatoes, corn on cob, red cabbage Cole slaw, watermelon, and banana orange cake. And melted butter in little lighted soufflé cup holders. Loved the whiskey sour but no competition, 🦞 on a Maine Island is the BEST. 38 years of research, 66 for my husband, many more for the generation before him. And a whiskey sour is definitely the way to start. 😅The Way Life Should Be
I love the cartoon. Perfect for tonight for me to relive what I drank and ate just three hours ago. Goodnight!
My cocktail right now is Makers Mark and ice, it is 5:01

Don't forget that the Supremes still have a few cases to wrap up.
I’ve got ice packs chilling in the freezer. Going with Amaretto with cream on ice….

Italy? I’m envious! But yes - it’s versatile as liquor gets I think - try it on ice cream, it’s sinful!

Glad you're on this journey with us all !! Thanks1

I’m going to watch - and leave the whiskey bottle out on the counter!

That sounds good!

That scenario is appalling, but couldn't surprise me;-after all it will be the orange man on stage.
Yes If I can get it on an Over-the-Air TV channel.

I like margarita without the syrup, and vodka martinis... and now I want both! Love the drawing, Liza!
Uhmmmm………nope .
