I am writing as my disgust,listening to the confirmation hearings last night, simmers : ‘Define woman ‘ oh please stop this ! As for swank ambiance so deftly drawn by Barbara Sherman, the word ‘just’ stands out . Perhaps his wife no longer perches on the pedestal on which he had placed her ?
Given the year and the time in which Sherman drew it, I see it as showing a couple of tuxedoed swells who've finished dinner and maybe had too much to drink, lounging and smoking and making an asinine comment about women. Which is not to say that this never happens in 2022!
