Re. the centennial exhibit: just cartoon art, or other New Yorker stuff as well? Either way... a hundred years of that esteemed publication. My parents were subscribers when I was a kid, and I loved looking at the cartoons. I actually got the jokes often enough, and I developed a taste for the likes of James Thurber and Charles Addams. You are part of an exalted lineage; congratulations. Looking forward to more news about the exhibit.

From growing up with 9 sisters and having a Mom who was a maestro of sarcasm (in a funny way) I have no doubt that humor and laughter got it's start with women.
