Watch now (10 sec) | I boarded the subway yesterday with the intention of live drawing someone. Almost immediately, I realized it was too crowded. It’s possible to draw on a crowded subway car, and I’ve done it before (see below), but I wasn’t in the mood. It’s hard to see a complete individual when sitting there surrounded by bodies, and hard to avoid being watched.
The same sort of thing happens for me with poems. I just watched an eccentric conflict between a customer and barista in a coffee shop while the stranger next to me provided commentary that was far more eccentric than the conflict. Except...if I write about it...I think I am stealing!
I love it, Liza. I can't imagine how you could do this with your finger on a subway! Amazing!
Thank you, Jimmy!

You should write about it! I mean, it won't be word for word, of course. Just the idea of a stranger providing commentary is funny.
I'm working on it to maybe post today. Is it okay if I quote from your post?
Of course! Look forward to it
AMAZING! Is this done on your phone with "Paper" and your finger?
yep! Thanks! ❤️
Fabulous. What app are you using? Looks different than Procreate Pocket.
It's call Paper. Love it. Thank you!
I really like this piece Liza. As someone commented eloquently on the Instagram “still” of it. “You capture life without stealing it.” Beautiful.
❤️
This really speaks to my heart, reminding me of those rare and stolen moments with my son. I wonder if in 25-30 years our roles will be reversed.... 🥰
Perhaps, but so wonderful to have a connection.

Couldn't say that a year ago! LOL!
