Thank you Liza, I did not know of the guests until I saw your drawing yesterday. I was able to watch it all live and really appreciate you letting us know. Love the drawing love the quotes. I felt a little more optimistic. Thank you.
Democracy belongs to no one. On the contrary, it’s the earned privilege of those who put their lives on the line for it, and an entitlement, like Social Security, for those who’ve done nothing to merit it.
"Power has to come from those who have been excluded." I follow her most of the time and think she is brilliant. I didn't listen to the interview, but out of context this is exactly what Trumpty Dumpty is playing to. He's convinced so many that the government is excluding them and they deserve to be heard and rise up to do it. Scary statement (to me) to be used against us.

Heather is my go to first thing each morning for a dose of sanity!
Thanks Liza!!
Thank you for posting the link, I loved the discussion.
I love Heather Cox Richardson! I follow her substack and am currently reading her latest book. She is so smart and so articulate.
That was a great discussion. HCR is a rock star historian. I loved reading her book and it was great to also listen to her reading it on audible
