Good on you..... I hope you get to do the piece. But, Liza, you shouldn't have been surprised. When he's not in control, the orange man is very small. He fades into himself, forming half an orange "C." It must have felt weird, sitting there, though.
How interesting to be a fly on the wall outside the (courtroom) wall.
Liza, I just read about a small business by a guy who will WAIT IN LINE to hold your place! Dude in Line, I think. But, his price for this trial is $50 per hour, yikes!! (his normal prices are around $25/hour to by tickets - theater / concerts, for concert entry, midnight sales of new phones, you get the picture.
He and his 'employees' (friends and family) are currently hired by a bunch of reporters at this trial. He is looking to expand the business to other cities. If you arrive early, look for the tallest guy in line, 6' 5" maybe, and guys in the same hat with yellow logo. Those are the Dudes in Line. You could draw them, too!! Enjoy :-)
Thanks for being there. Hope the New Yorker buys your entire spread.

You experiencing a never before event in American history.
Wow! I feel very excited for you being there (and also a bit concerned) - exciting to be so near to history happening! Can you bring snacks??
I did! But you can't eat in the courtroom......
I just realized what a goofy question about snacks that was! (such a mom thing to ask).
I loved that question! Not necessarly a mom thing, a caring thing!

Would love to see a drawing of the Dude in Line folks too Liza!
Great drawings, thank you.
Exciting time in history; I hope you get inside one of these days. Thanks for pursuing this project and sharing your experiences.
