As soon as I saw your Petite Pride Parade, I grinned from ear to ear, and why not? I am not a member of the LGBTQ+ community that, in my 83 years so far, I've long since learned is no threat to anyone. Whom one loves is a private thing. The only ones with an "agenda" are the haters. They are miserable and want everyone else to be just as miserable. It is not a cliche for me to say that one of our dearest friends was a young man who contracted HIV and died of complications of AIDS in the late '80s. We have never stopped missing him, but his entire family shunned him as though he were a leper. LGBTQ+ is not a disease nor a lifestyle; it is just human. If you disapprove of gay sex, don't do it.
well put, Charles. in my little town, one woman has said-and published- hateful things about a man whose little yard is filled with "stuff" including a sign about a local developer which she considers an incitement to hate and violence. this has brought out many letters in favor of free speech and small town character and a great parade. hate cannot outlast love.
Whom one loves is indeed a private thing. Pride parades parade filth and porn out in the open, regardless of who is in the street, in your face. I used to support, but no longer. Enough is enough.
Love these joyful cartoons! And your commentary, which is to the point and so much more palatable than the usual news. Thank you for being here and for being you!
Thank you Liza. Great drawing and a very noble cause for our friends, colleagues and neighbors, let’s Stop the Hate and fight for our Democracy and all our rights
Thanks for this!! I copied the top drawing and posted on FB. I would love to see the trans triangle on the pride flags as they have now been transformed by the queer community. As you know, the trans community is really under attack. My eldest child is trans. It is tough although they are resilient and fighting hard. An accomplished scientist doing a post doc now, they have been politically activated for some time but now really fighting, to the point of considering law school next. When I marched in a protest in April I made a sign that I picked up from a photo of someone else’s: Heal Your Heart: Protect Trans People with the trans triangle and a ‘new’ pride flag flying off the corner with the triangle on it.
Thanks again for your drawings. Another one this month acknowledging trans people’s fight at this point in time for me to post would be great! 😊
Thank you! You are wonderful!
I think Janet Mills (terrific!) is Maine’s governor

It is behind pride
that Republicans hide
their efforts to divide
and daily snide at
those clear eyed enough
to whip their hide.
The Senate needs to vote down the bill! The GOP should be afraid - not of Trump but the voters!

Nice. We need to keep supporting those in the cross hairs.
