no, rarely! IT's funny, but true. In some settings, I stand out more, but because I am drawing on my phone or a tablet, it doesn't register to people as much of anything!
These snap shots of ink .. So good Liza . Thank You always . I love seeing the motion / choice of pen strokes hand finger movements relative to scale and drawing . Frankly ... beautiful ...🙏 YES for being here too! You!
Beautiful looking pen! This scene has me imagining a similar scene happening somewhere back in time, inside the original Penn Station, perhaps being drawn by one of your predecessors. ✍️😀
So interesting, Philip! Yes, someone with a large pad and maybe pastels or watercolors.... I'm just carrying on a tradition in a less formal and more digital way. And the pen--- it is not fancy, really, just a few bucks from Muji, my favorite store!
Wonderful vicarious experience, not for the faint of heart! So immediate and full of education on the choices, method, tools, and experiencing the people of NYC in their daily commutes and how to approach life drawing. Sweet! - I don’t know how this work, but I restocked with comment, so I think the re-stacked author does not see the comments? I tried to reproduce the essence of that re-stack with comments here.
Today is as lovely and seeing as ever. I am very much going to miss being here to enjoy it. Substack is welcoming the crop of haters on X who want more scope for their screeds, rants, raves and manifestos. So it’s only a matter of time before it begins to intrude everywhere on Substack. I don’t want to stroll through that marketplace of ideas.
Love this! Does anyone ever notice that you are sketching them, and ask you questions?

I do enjoy the new 34th train hub; really nice design with a friendly atmosphere!
It's getting better every day, the Moynihan Station!
Love this!
Smiling back at you! Smiling all through this - thanks for nyc visit. Love this.
Love the sketch with all the sounds of activity in the station., The sounds of the station gave the sketch an extra dimension of vitality.
That's great, yes I imagine it does add another dimension. I was aware of the sounds as I drew.
I love that you can entertain (and educate, sometimes) us as you entertain yourself as you wait for the train. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for saying that, Andy. I like to make it informal and in the moment.
So reflective and yes in the moment. Amazing.. Really amazing..
Thank you, Andy.
Spies, spies 🕵️♂️ everywhere.

Muji is the best
It’s amazing how you can pick this pair of men and plop them down so naturally just relaxing and enjoying their lunch.
Thanks, James. I enjoy that I can do this.
Love your comparison of faith like a river, just touching my toes or me floating in the stream.

Thank you, Anis! I am so happy you enjoyed it. I sometimes see the comments--I will go look now. Thank you!
