Love the drawing. Very Bronx! Was the cloud halo above the first woman intentional or a happy accident?

Accidental! Thanks:)

I love the grannie one. Was the child reading? I hope so. As for Arizona...the dry heat must have gone to the politicians' heads. I'm getting a little nervous that the magazine is shying away from controversy,. That's why I'm grateful to be here with you.

Thanks, Allia. The child was on a phone, sorry to say...but maybe reading! And who knows about the magazine, I never. ever ever know what they're thinking.

Thank you for the drawing and for the ‘rejected’ cartoon. I know you are trying to speak on behalf of many of us. The rulings are outrageous. I think I just convinced a young person I met at a sushi bar to vote and to vote for Biden. I hope so. He was intelligent and we talked about lots of stuff. I ended up deciding to play on a previous comment he made a bit by saying, if you don’t vote for yourself, vote for your fiancé. (We were both out eating alone.) He stopped and looked at me and said, OK. 🤞

So glad you convinced someone! Good going!! I am so upset by people not voting, you know?

Have you considered taking a harder line on some of these hard line decisions? When the going gets tough, the tough get going and you, Liza Donnelly, are one of the tough folk take notice of 😉

Thanks for asking! I feel like the dialogue between the two women would be more meaningful (to me at least) if it reflected the very real tension between those women who want progress and those who see themselves as god's police: come hell or high water, they're going to protect the patriarchy... it's complicated and that's where a darker shade of humour can step up.

It was lovely to look outside and see people in public. Thank you for capturing this pleasant day’s scenes.

Why was the train bumpy today?

I’m finishing a CPAs tax season workload and soon will be out and about more.

I think it was an old train, to be honest. Didn't take the curves and bumps as well! Thanks!

Big thanks for the reproductive rights cartoon--in AZ (and other venues here in US and globally). You depict a great truth.

More broadly, I would love to see the New Yorker's cartoons become more meaningful and thought provoking--and to align with longer pieces and editorials after all.

We are lifted by your voice and strength. Draw!!!!Don't let the pesky editors get to you.

Yes! You and others are offering views the NYer pesky types are disinclined towards. I see more and more cartoons about I-phone life, if you will. Really????

Broad cultural waves sweep here n there.

We are here cuz of your courage, humanity--and your artistry. You remind us of what we might otherwise miss.....Art as medicine/bit of joy....we do this with students at Goddard..we see each other deeply, warmly.....you see others on the train, the station and on and on
