Good morning! Ran across this drawing this morning, done a few weeks ago. Do you ever have trouble finding your cursor on your desktop? More later! Happy Tuesday. Seeing Things is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
Losing a cursor is a terrible thing. It happens to me because (a) I'm aging and my eyesight isn't as acute as it once was, (b) the dang thing is little, and (c) these modern monitors are so large that I can't see all the real estate at once. Fortunately, I have set a preference so that, if I rapidly wiggle my finger on the trackpad, the cursor gets much larger and more colorful...voila! There it is!
It came right back from the freezer really quickly.
I loved this -- both sides of the equation! Stabbing at my touch pad to make that cursor appear is a familiar activity. And I've definitely put things in the freezer that shouldn't be there.
YES, thank you, I often lose my cursor. I suspect they're piling up behind my shelf of old Who's Whos that I never use any more. I thought I was literally going functionally blind a year or two ago (fortunately great surgeons in Springfield and Boston saved my one functional eye), but when all that was still in doubt, I got a widescreen TV use it as my computer monitor. I love it, but I sit close to it and can't really focus on the whole surface at once. The cursors seem to caught on, and have found numerous places to hide. Which is bad enough, but their soft yet snide chuckling is getting me down a bit.
Hilarious!!!!--- That is happening with my iPads, phones and monitors attached to my devices... I not only loose the cursor, I loose the letters, the whole page now that they seem (the letters) to be designed gray on top of a white background... Page designers should know, we seniors have difficulty reading that kind of themed pages. Letters better be bold , blocky black on gray-ish by default and the young ones can change the setup at their will. LOL LOL LO

Only every day. Squinting helps.
