Good day for pets. My dogs calm me down and make me laugh with their antics. My daughter is showing horses in Oklahoma and thanks to the Internet I can watch. The sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. We need more time with cats, dogs, horses and less with crazed political types and clickbait headlines. Thanks for the giggle with the giant cat.
The important thing is not to be left helplessly wondering what’s true in the tangled ball of yarn the news has become. Who’s saying what, is there a power play in motion about to flip a narrative to something larger than it’s not, how a bullet can clip an ear without doing more damage, is it possible not to honor the dead while parading their clothes, their name misspelled, is Joe not in control - or is this a fight for positioning on the part of the weakest candidates in the campaign to improve their odds while betraying Caesar, is this MacBeth or Henry III raising the troops up to fight while a minister balks at the fight to come…
Thanks Liza. I hope you’re recuperating well from your coverage of the RNC. I could only handle watching a bit at a time and a speech here and there. Can’t imagine how draining in must have been to be totally immersed in it for four entire days!
Well, now we know who has the giant ball of yarn. I, as well as everyone else probably, have been on tenterhooks waiting for some word...any word...and at last it has come, and we can all exhale. I love Joe Biden, but I really didn't think he was up to it. I admire him so much for stepping aside. Wow, what a statesman. Anyway, now with renewed energy, let's win this thing. xoxoxo

Amen!
Thanks Liza; much needed!
Thank you!

No peace is there
You've taken hair balls to an Olympic standard. Totally funny
Per daily events, when I feel irresponsible, I (internally) ask 'are we there yet?'
You always pop up when I most need your spritely take on things, Liza! Love both cartoons!

Great cartoons
Sounds like we're all in the same boat - or more accurately, the same ball of yarn.
Hahahahaah!

Looks like that lull didn't last very long, did it? 😀
