Ah, bliss. Wish I was there instead of being on the Texas griddle. :D

Safe travels

Good cartoon. I live in the mountains, and every weekend all of Phoenix overwhelms us to get out of the heat. We locals just hide in our houses until it is over.

Good luck on finding that cool weather. We're in Ontario, where daytime highs are still in the mid 70's.

Those aren't local humans, they're Canada humans, stopping over on their way to Florida…

Always like your drawings with a reference to Maine. It is ‘getting right chilly up heah’. 😁 I will be waking the beaches but maybe not sitting for long.

So clever, so true!

Year round we have a LOT of entertainment events in Austin that draw live audience literally from around the world.

There is a physical ‘surge & flow’ rhythm to the busy-ness but we love the diversity their voices and conversational focuses bring in to our Texas background scene.

The footwear is the most revealing. Tho we have a semblance of changing Seasons here, sandals and as close as possible to bare feet is the preferred here year-round.

Nothing better than the beach and the ocean, regardless of the weather. My wife and I are big fans of sweaters and jackets at the beach because it means we are likely the only ones there! Enjoy Maine.

Maine. When I think of Maine I think of lobster. On July 20th, I told God I was I was giving up lobster for the sake of the preservation of democracy. The next day, Joe Biden stepped aside. Now I'm stuck without any lobster, but at least we have a shot at continued propagation of freedom.

I wonder if Adolf Hitler lived to be 81, he might have acquired enough wisdom to commit such a selfless act, especially after years in a Soviet prison. After all, the same God who got the apostles out of prison might have done the same for a repentant Hitler. If it's not broke, don't fix it, but if it IS broke...

Lots of beaches here in northwest Washington's Puget Sound; most of them are not smooth sand, but are covered with small pebbles, rocks, and lots of driftwood. People improvise little shelters from driftwood logs, planks, whatnot; they usually remain standing for at least one season, and make great vantage points for staring out at the water, watching waves, gulls, passing ships. Occasionally, the solitude invites me to take a quick splash in the very cold water; I emerge from the water with a shout, dry off, resume my meditative vigil.
