Compared to the American GOP and Marjorie Taylor Greene, Princess Catherine is an innocent bystander. I have the impression it was her mother who connived to throw her in the path of Prince William, and since he fell for her, she's off the hook, at least for me. She has not craved the limelight -- rather the opposite. I will say, though, that the press and the photo un-shoppers have not gone after her so much as they have the palace publicists. Sshe deserves privacy and (surprise!) didn't get it. It's a woman's prerogative to become a royal if she wants to and can, and she has not disgraced the Windsors.
