Such a lovely picture! Interesting how a simple gift to you made such a big impact in the direction of your life, Liza. You have so many people out here who love and admire you for your amazing talent. Thanks for sharing it with the world.
Well, raising any number of children to adulthood is a feat. An act of love, certainly, but also a feat. So a well deserved Happy Mother’s Day to you too and bless your mother for handing you that pencil and paper! We all win! Gorgeous photo of your mum. So sorry you lost her early on.
Liza, lovely story about your mom. My parents nurtured my artistic talents as a child also. Putting a pencil in a child's hand May inspire them to draw an entire future. Your mom succeeded.
I have been following you as a free subscriber for a long time and so often have wanted to reply to one of your posts or videos, like yesterday’s from Morges with Ann Telnaes. So, just joined paid subscribers to say, “Thank You.”
What a lovely picture to share. Thank you for sharing and for every drawing you share with your readers. But I believe Mothers need celebrated every day. We celebrate you on Mother Day today
Not to take away an iota of love or praise for all the moms who richly deserve it, but...
My relationship with my mother was difficult and complicated, as was my relationship with the mother of my own children (who are now middle-aged women who have fared reasonably well.) I'm speaking for myself of course, but believe I should acknowledge aloud those of us for whom mothers and motherhood is not an unequivocally joyful subject.
Praise you, Liza, and praise to your mother and children as well. The world is a better place because of you.
Hi Liza, I remember your mother giving us all craft and art projects to do when we were little. She went to a lot of trouble. I don’t think I was grateful enough at the time, but now I am.
Happy Mother's Day to all who celebrate the day.
thank you for sharing the lovely picture of your mother. she started you drawing and we are the better for it! Happy Mothers Day!
