There's a demonstration today in Cherryfield! Will be joining some neighbors there.
And the music from the pond these days is magnificent. The frogs are blissfully unaware of the King problem. And on the cove three geese couples are attentively encircling five baby geese to protect them from predators (foxes and eagles, no doubt) Hope to see you here this summer. Sharon Tisher
And there is one simple way to address the immigration "problem": we need more immigration courts to process the people who want to be here. It shouldn't take 12 years (or even 2 years) to get a hearing.
There was a large crowd at the LA city hall this morning. I heard that downtown around the government buildings has been declared an unlawful assembly. Damn it! There was a good turnout in Laguna Hills where I went with friends.
I came; I protested; I connected. A zillion people, from toddlers in mom's arms--to gray-haired seniors with canes...and I noticed something different from last time....there were more men this time....lots of them.
We need a savvy computer person to compile a vast trove of images of protest signs from each No Kings event, and display them across every social media outlet. Tie these to a competition for best, or funniest, or most incisive, or most flagrant, or most touching, or whatever, with the category winners to gather for an annual dinner of some such social media opportunity. Tag the endeavors to ''Act Blue'' or some other ''political contribution platform'' to garner funds for more protest days, and more protest signs, and more protest days, and more protest signs. etc.
Heading out soon to one in O’Fallon IL and may wind up in Belleville
Heading out for 2 local No Kings today —one morning, one afternoon. Seekonk & Attleboro, MA. Be safe everyone.
