Word is Convicted Felon Trump is quite afraid of prison. Yes, there are some logistical problems with the secret service while he’s in prison. He would probably need to be in solitary.
I do think he’ll get some kind of confinement, even at home. But the judge will wait until the appeal is over to have him start serving it.

Being under house arrest might put him in proximity to those with a criminal record.
