Would love to see cartoons about comfort food, and why we need them!

Love the drawing. I'm thinking I will get a many a good night sleeps! I won't worry about what the next 4 years bodes for my granddaughters. One starts college and the other a will be a junior in high school. This one begins a new adventure in local government, having applied and accepted to represent our local school, on a Youth Advisory Council for the county. She loves history, government, is enamored with Presidential history, etc. She can't vote but wants someone strong to lead our country. The oldest is excited to vote in her first Presidential Election.

Can't wait to see your drawings of the convention...Love how you capture joy in 2 dimensional pics! And as for the planning and arranging happening in the other camp . . .I am worried about October surprises too...and mostly because we all know that it doesn't have to be true for them to talk as though it is.

Take the election one day at a time. Let's not wear ourselves out over thinking the next 79 days.

I pray it goes off without a hitch (or anything else untoward), and that it gives a real boost to their campaign. I think even the repugnacans are getting sick of his ramblings. What a happy assignment....Hope springs eternal.... I hope it springs Kamala. Will look forward to your insights.

They could run that drawing every two years and it would always work! Brilliant.

For four years, Trump and his friends have crowed about how they're going to destroy Medicare and Social Security. Today, I got 3 mailers from Trump all saying Kamala is going to destroy M and SS, and the only way to keep benefits is to elect Trump. I didn't cry: I just laughed. It looks like, because the Republicans have no policies of their own, they are trying to confiscate the Democrat positions. Will people see through this?

Liza, best wishes at the Convention and with your magic pen. Donald Trump doesn't really want to be president, he just wants to be popular. Let him revive and host the old TV show Truth or Consequences. A friend just returned from the Taylor Swift concert in London and was trilled by the pure joy. That's what our ticket is bringing America. Christmas song in order: Joy to the World.

We are going to watch as much of the convention as possible. It seems very likely that the bratty old guy who is slinging muck will pull some sort of stunt to try to upstage the convention. I just picture him with the witches of MacBeth chanting Double Double Toil and Trouble while stirring a bowl of Cheerios. Meanwhile the rest of us will be cheering for Harris and Walz. Your insights and drawings will be appreciated.

There was a rally for the orange creep today in Woodstock Illinois, about 12 miles from my home. Hundreds of people from throughout the Chicago region caravanned there to hear criminals Roger Stone, Michael Flynn and MyPillow guy. Tickets were $30-$300. Weird Fest.

🤔 maybe these Weird Fest's explain why Burnin' Man attendance is in decline.

Thanks! I would have liked your post, but for some reason it won't let me.

I like the Doritos test of a good candidate: one who picks up her own at the store or one who has always had servants presenting them. Whether or not it says anything about presidential skill, it sure does about being relatable.

Whiplash.

I love the cartoon. The universal inner conflict Democrats have of ‘do I dare believe this?’

If not already established, there will eventually be an addition to the Merriam Webster, and that is the word "Trumpish." It is an adjective. We all know what that means.

Liza, thanks for making the words "far right influencers" a link. Two reasons. I've been wanting to read what the "other side" is saying, without any filters. Because I have a lot of family and friends who are Trump supporters, and I want to see what they're seeing, to try to get a better understanding. Also, I used to live in Maryland and I miss reading the Washington Post. Your link led me to another where I could subscribe to a digital subscription to wapo for $40 for a WHOLE YEAR! This just made my day, thanks again!
